Prescription & post run
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Monday, 22nd of February 2021
A quick call was the first job on this mission - I let Mr K know that I was on the way to the chemist so that he had time to prepare his parcels which I was also collecting. Unfortunately only one prescription was ready for collection today - but nonetheless I collected this one and took it up to Mr K’s flat where 3 parcels were waiting at the door for me. There was a little orange sticky note attached to the top of the boxes asking me to drop off the “proof of postage” receipts after I had been to the post office, and also thanking me for my help. Whilst the thanks are not the main reason that we choose to volunteer, it’s really heartwarming when someone goes the extra mile to say thank you (especially when they can’t do it face to face due to shielding). Thank you Mr K for making my day! ☺️
