Prescription on a Mission
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Tuesday, 31st of March 2020
Today I was on a Good Gym Mission to collect a prescription for Mrs P. I made my way over to the chemist, after washing my hands, where I had to collect the prescription. Once I arrived there was a queue of 4 people, it was a longer wait than expected, but I was glad that there was a one in, one out system in place as, after all, it's for our safety.
Once it was my turn I went in and the chemist gave me the prescription. It was much bigger than expected, but luckily it wasn't heavy and Mrs P's house wasn't far.
Once I arrived at the address, I had a few issues finding their door, but with the help of Mr P with directions over the phone, I was able to find them, where he greeted me cheerfully and thankfully (wearing a mask and keeping our 2m distance). We had a very quick chat before I made my way home, where I washed my hands again.
Mrs P's gratitude brightened my day, and I do hope I was able to make a difference to their day, too 🙂
