Pillow Fight
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Kingston upon Thames.
- Thursday, 30th of August 2018
Mr J's wife is being discharged from a hospital soon. Samia and Gosia met up in Surbiton today to help him out in preparing a space in the house for her new hospital bed ππ.
We were warmly welcomed by Mr J at the door. He already had an idea how to make a space for a new furniture and gave us quite precise instructions what he would like us to help with π.
First task was to move an armchair πΊfrom the kitchen to the garage. Before putting the furniture where intended, we were asked to remove cushions from it. Then, we had a cute, but brave battle π¬, untying knots and opening up the clips attached to the pillow. Few minutes and all was done, the armchair was ready to be put in place.
Then, we moved another armchair, this time from the bedroom to the kitchen. This was an easy one, as it had wheels π, we just encountered a small turbulence when getting through the door.
A bit more re-juggling and we had a perfect space for the bed + some extra room so carers could walk freely around it. Mr J was really pleased and thankful for the help. We mentioned to him that he can let GoodGym know if he needs help with anything else in the future or if he knows anyone who could need our help.
