Perky and Quirky
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Redbridge Mutual Aid FoodBank in Redbridge.

There was a hefty donation for Redbridge Mutual Aid Food Bank to be picked up and shifting all those tins about at the end of the day is considered enough of a work out so James kindly offered to drive. He made the most of the trip by taking Mike and picking up Linda plus said donation- given by a sweet neighbour.
We were first on scene and were greeted with a big delivery so started loading the shelves, it is here that our little quirks and personality traits start to become clear. The ever tidy AJ sensibly sorted nappy corner into sizes ensuring the size was clearly visible, tall Linda loaded the top shelves, Mike, who likes to crack jokes, says he was made with his knees too close to the floor so stacked the middle shelves and James organised the space by stacking the crates to one side.
The other helpers arrived and packing began, our Kathryn slipped seamlessly into the team straight from a hard days work and the music went on to keep us perked up. It is always remarkable at this stage how so many people, get so much done, in such a short time with so little room to maneuver but it is all done with energy and good humour.
Those with energy to spare helped the drivers load and refilled shelves, while others took care of the gentler task of tidying up and pretty soon we were all done.
