SO EDGY
Tonight's run was to Cator Park where we met Millie and the gang for some edging of the paths, basically getting rid of those weeds and grass patches that love to build up and fill the cracks. That way it'll look much neater for the people who enjoy the park.
First, we met at the Bridge House and went for a speedy warm up in the park. We shared the type of animal we'd love to see on safari in honour of our mission to clean out the Giraffe(no, not like that) next month.
It was a 2km run to Cator Park and our team of runners managed a seriously cracking pace 👏.
We were then equipped with shovels and trowels (and a nice knee rest in Clare's case), and got to work scraping and uprooting the pesky weeds. After half an hour we called it a day, having done a seriously decent stretch of the path. We may be back again to continue in a few weeks' time...
On the way back, we did some wallsits, press ups, planks and lunges, before finishing off with a stretch and farewell.
Nicely done everyone!!
Next week we're heading to TNG Youth Centre for more weeding! Here's the link to sign up!
