Pair of ledges take great panes to clear up some sill-y shrubs
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Croydon.
- Saturday, 29th of September 2018
Here's what Mrs G of CR0 had to say about the mission:
Mrs G was really happy with the help she received from the GoodGym runners who came to tidy her garden. She said they did a very good job and was thrilled with the work!
On Saturday, Paul and I went round to Mrs G's to help tackle some plants in her front garden.
While I was saving my body for gruelling challenge of a Swedish furniture store on a Saturday, Paul had impressively tackled the Roundshaw Downs parkrun before arriving at the task.
We met Mrs and Mr G, who outlined what needed doing: the front garden needed a good tidy, with a focus on clearing the plants that had been blocking the light going through their front window. We then swung into action; using their tools to tame the front garden and let a little more light into their living space.
Nothing too challenging arose (other than Paul's suggestion that a spider we encountered might be a false widow - cheers pal! 😅) and we had the task tackled within 90 minutes. Paul is aiming to hit his 100 good deeds on Wednesday in Hounslow if anyone fancies joining or giving him a cheer!
