Out for blood (samples)!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Friday, 24th of April 2020
Good afternoon goodgymmers! Today I had one of the loveliest and easiest missions I've had in a while. I went to collect some samples for the lovely Miss I and post it for her. She is currently shielding and needed to send her samples off to the doctor's fairly urgently.
Normally I would add some kind of funny anecdote for this mission and possibly will do later on in this report, but today it was just a reminder of why we do what we do. Ms H told me that what I was doing was pretty much life saving for her and her child, and it made me happy that doing such a small thing could make such a big difference.
For the fun anecdote, I used to eat the lego of my cousin when I was 4 because I didn't think he didn't deserve nice things. Amongst that I also tried to eat his Postman Pat truck, but was less successful because it's harder to swallow a model postal van. Believe me, I tried. You would also think I've outgrown this, but I have replaced lego's with my housemates potato chips because I don't think she deserves nice things either.
Stay safe goodgymmers!
