12 ran to the bunny walks to do some litter picking.
A beautiful and sunny evening saw 12 runners gather at the university to help make Chelmsford a litter free city. after a warm up of lunges and skips we set off along the bunny walks collected the equipment and began collecting litter as we headed back alongside the river.
although there were slim pickings we pushed on along the river and made a difference finding some interesting items including a draw, some socks and some boxer shorts, and an extensive collection of McDonalds cartons.
After covering a good length of the river we put the rubbish into some bins and David returned the litter pickers to their home, as the rest of us added an extended loop back to the uni. We did have time to stop for further exercises on the Uni field finishing with some sprints.
I really enjoyed catching up with everyone and hope to see you all soon! Rich walker is leading the session next week so it's sure to be a fun one!
