Our good weed for the day
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Octopus Community Network in Islington.

A super sextet headed over to Highbury Quadrant to continue the good work we've carried out over many months on behalf of the redoubtable Fran. It was an early start but even Sam nearly made it on time. Paul and John renewed acquaintances, having been inseparable GoodGymers at one time. Eilidh travelled only a short distance, while Katriona came from Scotland - though not today. Beth arrived full of joy following her recent race success.
First we had to move some bags of soil by wheelbarrow, from the wall plot to another area. We knew they'd be heavy, because it was GoodGym who'd carted them to the wall plot when they first arrived. That part of the task was soon done and we then spread the soil out and levelled it.
We also spread some black sheeting over another bed to deny the weeds any sunshine, while other weeds were tugged out by the now-experienced hands of GoodGymers. Beth found a bone, though it might not have been human.
Having inadvertently continued over our allotted time, we returned the tools, said "au revoir" to Fran and headed off in different directions with most of our Saturday still ahead of us.
