Nut thing new
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Thursday, 7th of April 2022
Tonight, I visited Ms F after work to do a quick shop for her.
I'd previously helped Ms F with her shopping a couple of months ago, and she was impressed by how much of her shopping list I remembered (the Cornish Yarg had made a strong impression!).
The only hiccup in tonight's shop occured when, after asking a store assistant to show me "to the recreational nuts" (an unfortunate choice of phrase that only a post-work brain is capable of🤦🏼♀️), I discovered the store was out of the pistachios Ms F wanted. A short phone call later, and I was picking up some almond cantuccini in place of the pistachios. Strangely, the cantuccini was much easier to find than the pistachios had been, despite Ms F having to spell it out for me over the phone (it was completely new to me!)
Shopping done, I dropped it off with Ms F, who kindly gave me a cantuccini for the road as we made our goodbyes.
