Now you know your ABC's!
7 GoodGymers made their way on a training session in Southwark.
- Sunday, 24th of January 2021
- Led by Ian Gostling
This weeks challenge was to complete the A-Z of Southwark!!
To achieve this we were looking to run on the streets around us, completing the list of road names starting with every letter in the alphabet.
8 runners took to the streets, taking photos and keeping their eyes peeled for Elephants, Unicorns & Druids!! And over the course of the week, we COMPLETED the list of ALL 26!!
Poor Emily ended up in a Moody (Road), Girija found herself in Paradise (Street), Gillian went out collecting Quorn (Road) and Ian got rather lost in York (Alley)!
Round of applause goes to Emma who zigzagged through ALL 26 letters in one run!!
We also found out some interesting family history along the way... Phil's relatives once owned a wharf along the Grand Surrey Canal, and Girija's grandfather worked at a chocolate factory where the first 'After Eights' were produced!
WELL DONE everyone!! Great team work.
