Merry Christmas woking goodgym!!!
The last goodgym report of 2019 & its a goodgym special
GoodGym news:
Sadly Florent ran his last Woking GoodGym tonight as he is moving back to Paris this weekend. If anyone of us intends to run the Paris marathon in 2020, they might run alongside Florent!
Last night at GG:
despite the rain and the rather cold wind, 4 brave GG runners met to distribute donation bags on behalf of the British Heart Foundation. Their vision is a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. They fund research to keep hearts beating and blood flowing.
Led by James, Florent, Adam and Anne ran towards Queen Elizabeth way. As the last BHF donation bag was delivered a shape appeared from the dark and wet scenery: Owen had caught up with the group. Still battling with the rain and avoiding the deep icy puddles (well, some of us did not though!) we had run 5 km before parting company.
We waved ‘au revoir’ to Florent and promised to stay in touch. Enjoy the end of year festivities and best wishes for a very happy 2020 with lots of running for GoodGym!
The next Group Run will take place on Sunday 5th January at 8.45 am in Woking Park where we will be helping at the Junior parkrun.
