No such thing as a frite lunch
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Wednesday, 4th of May 2022
Tonight, I popped to Ms F's after work to do a quick shop for her. Her mobility issues mean that she's unable to shop for bulky or heavier items herself.
Ms F said that she had a very complicated shopping list this time round: there were some items that were to be bought in preference to other items if they were available, vouchers to be used, and items to be bought only if they were below a certain price.
Luckily, this ain't my first Waitrose rodeo, and I enjoyed the challenge of working out the best combination. Who needs logic puzzles when shopping tasks are available?!
There were only two small flies in the ointment: some ready meal potato frites were unavailable, and there were too many 80 packs of organic breakfast tea available (I chose Clipper, while Ms F prefers Twinnings). Ms F assured me that Clipper may become her new favourite brand (unbleached tea bags! 😌), and that she's able to carry something small like the potato frites herself (assuming they restock in time. Otherwise, there's no frite lunch).
Shopping done and dropped off with Ms F, we chatted for a few moments before saying goodbye.
