(No) Fiddler on the roof!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Kingston upon Thames.
- Sunday, 3rd of November 2019
On a rare November sunny Sunday, 2 goodgymmers cycled to help Mr and Mrs A with their unruly ivy. After thoroughly freaking themselves out with talk of horror films involving creature infested killer ivy, Laura and Kate got to work snipping with their secateurs and putting the cuttings into the many green boxes Mr A produced from seemingly nowhere.
After attacking all the lower branches, they moved onto the harder to reach areas with the aid of a trusty garden chair and sturdy safety ladder. After very nearly dislodging a chunk of slate onto Kate’s head as she did a fine job of steadying the ladder, Laura decided it was probably best for everyone’s safety to stop fiddling on the roof and clamber down.
After one final hack at the ivy revealed a previously VERY hidden shed door, the pair of them hot footed it out of there before more horror film scenes of ghost faces in the window entered their heads!
