I met up with a team of lovely Brompton people at their headquarters in Greenford as part of their 'on-boarding'. We chatted about GoodGym, today's ride, staying safe and our task. We set off as a team with only one person not riding a Brompton (yours truly!) and rode along the towpath of the Grand Union Canal in the morning sun - a beautiful start to our day.

Our destination was Horsenden Farm, a wonderful community resource for people of all ages. It relies on volunteers and there was plenty for the Brompton crew to get on with - clearing weeds from a greenhouse, moving compost, clearing a path ahead of their next Festival of Nature on 27 August, shifting rubble and clearing a path of weeds. With the aid of gardening gloves, spades and wheelbarrows, they worked pretty much all morning with only a brief water stop alongside two goats (as you do!). Our final photo call was photobombed by what I know as a Dulux dog!

After that, we headed back along the canal to Brompton HQ - another calm and glorious ride on the towpath.
