Need some cheer? Get paneer!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Ealing.
- Saturday, 4th of December 2021
That was my fourth shop for Ms N. The list had 15 items and all I had to do was to visit Sainsbury's, Co-op and a convenience store with some Indian food, all on a single High Street. No more Tour de Ealing like the last time! This time my Holy Grail was not the broccoli & cauliflower mix. It was a very particular toilet freshener. When weighted my options and called Ms N to ask if an alternative is acceptable, she was most interested in whether I managed to get Desi Paneer (luckily, I did!). She also recalled she might need to re-stock on corn oil, so I went back to Sainsbury's to check whether they got it. When I was leaving the store, empty-handed (actually with a Sainsbury's shopping bag with previous groceries) I was stopped by security. The guy looked suspiciously at me (was that my hood giving such a dodgy vibe?) and the plain Onken yoghurt in my bag. 'Did you get it here?' he asked. I pointed out that they don't even have this yoghurt on the shelf and flashed a receipt from Co-Op, then wished him a lovely day. Once again, I got away from enemy sentries and the mission was completed!
