Need for Speed
9 GoodGymers made their way 7.0km to help the Seniors in Lewisham.
- Monday, 3rd of October 2022
- Led by Kim Parker
GoodGymers assembled and ready to tackle the hills up to Seniors (minus one who thought he'd missed us and sprinted to catch us up, only to find we were 5min behind him), last night we were celebrating 100 good deeds - well done Adam, go give him a cheer. And my 300 good deeds. We've had a 500 recently - well done Marta.
With our marathon runners giving their legs a well earned rest, we headed off to Seniors. There were a couple of tasks for the evening:
- turning the compost heap
- moving the rubbish from the basement to the bins outside
- cleaning the bus hotel
Unfortunately the lady in charge of the bug hotel hadn't turned up yet so that task will wait for another GoodGym visit. We got stuck into the other 2 tasks and completed them in about 15min!! Talk about speedy!
I think it took longer for us to assemble for the group photo and move the coat rail that was in the way.
We said our goodbyes and headed off up the hill to be treated with the view across London from Blythe Hill Fields and then enjoyed the downhill back to Glass Mill.
Fantastic work tonight everyone, you all smashed the longer run and the hills!
