With dark clouds looming over the city, Goodgymers watched in anticipation to see whether the run training session would be a washout.
The wind was strong and the clouds were blown away and along came Mr blue sky. The same came out and the Goodgymers came out to play.
We jog to Kensington Meadows where we split into two groups. One group ran counterclockwise whilst the other ran clockwise. Each time you ran past a member of the other team you would swap paces. So if you were running quick you would then run slow until you saw the next person and you would run quick again. This session is called a Fartlek as it's random changes of speed.
After 30 minutes, the group were pooped, so we jogged back to the meet point and stretched by the river. With Pulteney weir and bridge in the background it certainly made for a stunning backdrop.
Well done everybody, great session
