18 ran to Interact charity garden for some heavy lifting
Another run record on our first birthday saw 18 Goodgym runners break our attendance record on our return to the Interact garden, including newbies Masie and Susan.
Susie at interact had a scheduling problem, with the turf laying being bought forward, the slabs, sand and concrete for the patio had to be moved before they could begin. Our larger group got stuck in to moving the slabs and made a new home for the sand, before moving some of that too. Interact was our first task one year ago and so was a great place to celebrate our birthday session, and was a great task too.
We got loads of work done and moved 4 pallets of slabs, some concrete and some sand! Susie had also prepared some cake and drinks to help celebrate our birthday which was much appreciated! we even got the left over cake back to the hub in one piece!
Once back at the hub (after our stretch) we had more food and drink including a Goodgym logo cake from Rachel and Joel and were joined by 3 more Goodgymmers who had not been able to make the task. a really good session and I hope everyone enjoyed the evening.
more photo's to be added soon!

Happy Birthday guys. I remember that first run at Interact and a) what an awesome project it is and b) how utterly exhausting the task was!!! Here's to many more inspiring good deeds in Chelmsford
