Welcome to the annual lantern making task. Repeat visits for some and a first time experience for others. Great if you love PVA glue...
This year we were making owls because the moon is coming to Fratton as part of the We Shine event from 17th November. All the information about the festival can be found here. And you can take part & help marshal the lantern parade on Friday 18th.
The owl making involved a lot of masking tape (and some improv proviz gear from Jen), some indestructible white tissue paper & yellow tissue paper that stuck to everything. By the end of the evening we had 10 owl lanterns (as Aoife made 2!).
The final task of the night was to hang the lanterns in the old FBL office along with the moons and other owls made. We had to make sure Anna didn't injure herself in the sorting of the drying space & Dr Jo became door monitor and wondered what happened to us all....
Looking forward to seeing the lanterns in action in the parade!
