A few years ago I heard the phrase 'non-western' learning - a state of mind in which many cultures learn from their communities and do so for their whole lives (as well as or instead of formal learning at school, college etc). It is safe to say we are learning to about a little community tucked away in a small hotel...not only their absolute passion for cricket but also the challenges that Edith helps them with whilst they integrate into Chelmsford life.
Big thanks to David for getting us together for a run before the task and to everyone else for keeping the kids safe on the journey to and from Central Park!
Richard and Jenny set up a couple of games with the younger kids whilst the rest of fielded in the glorious sunshine.
It was particularly nice to see a few new faces especially three girls who had a good laugh - but were less impressed when I tried on one of their sunhats! Who can resist Peppa Pig as a mermaid under the word 'MERMAZING'!!!
The kids certainly love their cricket Wednesdays
Enjoy the rest of the week and have a great weekend!
