Mattress-tetris
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Wednesday, 24th of February 2021
Morning goodgymmers! Today was a quick mission for Mr. L. We arrived at his house to meet the lovely carer J, who showed us the bed to be moved. A seemingly simple task, but noone had arranged for the beds to be collected. Confused by this, and becoming increasingly hungry (We had both skipped breakfast), we waited for the occupational therapist to arrive to sort us out.
Once she did we agreed to put the bed in Mr. L's small front yard and have his family arrange for collection., we made light work of carrying the bed downstairs. This is a dance both Jacqueline have perfected given the number of bed moves we have done during covid.
We worked through how to arranged the various components of the bed in a game we called mattress tetris, and we completed the mission in about 15 minutes and off we went to enjoy the lovely sunshine!
