Margaret AttWould you help me sort these books out?
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Waltham Forest.
- Saturday, 7th of March 2020
Tim and I met on Saturday in Waltham Forest to help Ms W with a couple of tasks. First of all Tim took down the curtains in the front room so that they could be cleaned. Next up was clearing out some books. Recovering from a broken ankle at the end of last year meant that Ms W had spent a lot of time looking at her collection of books and realised that it was time to have a bit of a clear out. We took all the books off the shelves and handed them to Ms W so that she could decided what to do with them. It was quite an eclectic mix including but not limited to:
A lot of Margaret Attwood
The Tao of love and sex: The ancient Chinese way to Ecstasy
Postman pat annual
An IKEA catalogue from 2001
DOORS: A guide to the internet
The DVD and VHS collection was also assessed. Sadly quite a few of the VHS tapes were unlabeled so it was hard to know what was on them, we did spot ‘Last of the summer wine season 7 and 8’ and ‘Deep blue sea: Jaws with attitude’ in amongst the collection though.
The hour that we were there flew by with lots of laughs and compliments on how great we were from Ms W. A great start to the weekend.
