Lucky post for Mrs Y
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Thursday, 20th of August 2020
Mrs Y's husband opened the door as she was unable to make it to the bottom of the corridor. He was hard of hearing but between the two of them they were able to instruct me what needed posting. They had a slightly 'heated discussion' around the fact that Mr Y also had a letter that needed posting but he had failed to get it ready in time for my arrival. I informed them both I was more than happy to wait out in the lobby until he had prepared it.
A helpful passer by instructed me to the location of the nearest post office, London is a much happier place in the sunshine (and potentially post pandemic).
After dropping off the letters I popped back to Mrs and Mr Y's to drop off the receipt and change. Once they answered the door, Mrs Y insisted several times that I take this little picture of a cat as it would bring me good luck. I feel pretty lucky already, GoodGym gives you such a unique experience with basically complete strangers. A small glimpse of somebody else's world that you wouldn't ordinarily come across is always food for thought. Another mission complete.
