Lots of coffee but no cough-y
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Newham.
- Thursday, 26th of March 2020
I combined today's exercise outing with a visit to Ms V to collect her shopping list of desired essential items. Top of that list (although ironically listed at the bottom of the list she bestowed upon me) was her desire for some quality ground coffee, with everything else a distant second except "maybe a fish pie for me tonight".
She most fortunately pointed me in the direction of her favoured shop which (usually) stocks her favourite items and with my fingers crossed I scurried off to the Stratford centre to see if they would let me in Sainsbury's and crucially that they would have the prized ground coffee that Ms V so dearly desired.
It turned out to be my lucky day, and not only did they have an abundance of her coffee, they also had everything else on her list and I was able to return to her house laden down with the shopping and was met with a beaming smile from a very appreciative woman.
She inevitably proceeded to tuck into a fish pie and I set off for my run home - mission accomplished!
