Litter picking...nailed it
2 GoodGymers made their way 3.0km to help their local community in Derby.
- Tuesday, 5th of July 2022
- Led by Rachel Carthy
Tracey and Rachel met to walk 2.5km around Derby city centre and clean up the streets of some of the rubbish.
The duo received lots of praise from city visitors and mostly collected drinks cans, coffee cups and fast food packaging. They also spotted a false nail and a costume jewellery ring...were they from the same person...the ring was handed in to the shop it was outside in case anyone came back for it.
A very sunny evening but windy in shaded streets and the pair struggled to keep their bin bags open to get litter in most of the time so that was the real challenge of the evening.
Thanks to Tracey for the photos including the route map and for helping to keep the city centre a pleasant space to visit.
