Litter Pickin’ Good
1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Birmingham.

I drove to Perry Hall Park to do a plog in the absence of parkrun. It started as a litter pick in the car park, which is an evening spot for car takeaways and discarded trash. This meant I had a full bag already as I started to move on, so I dropped it off in one of the big bins, which show that the park is well kept by park rangers and an active friends group. But still the litter mounts especially in the further reaches of the park.
I attempted to plog from here but there wasn’t much gap between litter so it was more of a walking pick still, until I had covered just under a mile and dropped off another full bag. From there I did a few plogging laps of the cricket pitches and retraced my steps to find that the park was now advertising its beauty more than its proximity to KFC. The colonel was certainly everywhere today!

Super Saturday for you. 3 CM all done by 1pm. GG super hero.
It’s a sign of things to come! I’m lucky to have GoodGym for a social life emerging from a personal and then global lockdown. Feels great to have achieved something at the same time.
