3 Goodgym Yorkies ran/cycled >1km to help Peter make some more bat boxes! After marvelling at Peter’s bamboo bike for 5 minutes, it was quickly down to business.

Ellie had made a (somewhat wonky) bat box with Barbara back in December so quickly got down to measuring lengths of wood and then cutting them up with the help of Lucy. John and Peter cut up other bits of wood to make the batons that help to make the bat boxes accessible. Once the wood was cut, John then starting drilling and power-screwing the boxes together, and after a bit of trial-and-error, there was soon one completed bat box. However, Ellie and Lucy had cut enough wood for three bat boxes so it was all hands on deck to complete the other two. The power-screwdriver eventually ran out of power, which led to Ellie proclaiming her love for ‘a bit of manual screwing’...

After each runner decorated their box, it was farewell to Peter and back to the regular world.
