Light Work of Heavy Lift-ing
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Saturday, 8th of January 2022
Two runners went to help remove a sofa for Mrs J who is bed-bound and keen to move her bed into the living room where she can benefit from more light, space for visitors and her TV.
Emma and Anne quickly assessed the size and weight of the sofa and the width of doors and corridors which the sofa had to pass through. Despite the sofa being a 3 seater with no removable parts, the two runners proceeded, confident in the logic that if the sofa had got in, it will also get out.
Being on the 3rd floor, the runners were grateful for the use of a generously sized lift to help get the sofa down to ground floor and out to the bins for collection.
Pausing only to mind fingers, watch the paintwork and take a few photos of the sofa's journey along the way, the tenacious goodgymers had the job done in no time at all.
