Let there be light💡
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 8th of May 2021
I arrived at Ms.B's later than I expected...an hour late! I did try to call her on her house phone earlier, but I did not get an answer.
She was glad that I did show up and quickly took me to see what tasks she would like me to do. Firstly, I had to push in a light bulb that came out loose in her kitchen before she asked me to change the lightbulb in her spare bathroom. I duly did, but we noticed that the lightbulb wasn't turning on. It seems there must be an issue with the wiring or the switch as the light bulbs (as I tried two) didn't work. I believe she would need an electrian.
Next thing, she asked me to fix her kitchen taps, which was slowly dipping water with new washers. However, she did not have the tools to fix this and we searched her basement and other areas of the house, but to no avail.
In the end, I felt like I hadn't done anything, but she quickly asked me to come outside and paint a small bit of her gate with black paint.
Finally, before I left we noticed another lightbulb needed changing in her dining room.
She would like to arrange another GoodGym session, but this time the runner will need to bring tools!
