It's the Great Daffodil Appeal for Marie Curie and so we signed up, got our collection items together and arrived at Tesco in Teddington for some fundraising.

We'd each been sent a giant box in the post, including tonnes of daffodil pin badges, collection jars, paying in slips, yellow tabards and.... The Hat. The things we do....

With the box around our necks full to the brim with pin badges, we donned the tabard and hat and welcomed customers as a very bright yellow duo as they popped in for their shopping. Children and adults alike were happy to donate to our jars, some seeming concerned that one of us didn't feel left out and dividing their donations, and happily taking a daffodil pin in return.

The hour passed by as we had a good catch-up whilst collecting and soon it was time for us to count up our funds in the presence of the store staff witness. A total of £63.53 (& 2 cents!) to be paid in next week meant that we left feeling pleased that we'd raised a good sum and could also finally take off The Hats.

Roll on the next collection day (if only the hat didn't have to reappear...).
