Just Can't Wet Enough
9 GoodGymers made their way on a training session in Tower Hamlets.

And so the heavens opened at around 7:36pm. And stayed open for the duration of tonight's fitness session.
But that didn't stop a sturdy team of seven battling through laps of Meath Gardens and resistance band exercises that worked us from top-to-toe.
Yep, the team came together under a well-covered tree at 7:45. We welcomed first time GoodGym runner Anoosh, before enjoying some mobility exercises, which were significantly enhanced by the runners adding their own twists. We enjoyed a speedy first lap and then out came the resistance bands.
Top-to-toe we worked, from standing hip extensions and lunges, to upper body work of rows, bicep curls and kickbacks, followed by seated core work, with Ikea bags used creatively by the team as mats, as they rehydrated on rain water. Luxury.
Where did the time go?
In spite of torrential rain throughout our entire session, the time flew by. Before we knew it, we were speeding around our final lap, with the team keeping up with my bizarre instructions ("5/10 pace to the bin; 7/10 at the Christmas tree, 9/10 at the plaque, then gentle 4/10 to the SureStart centre." What's not to like).
We were joined on that final lovely lap by Matt, who enjoyed a lovely sprint finish; offered some fab moral support, before joining us for our final stretches and group pic.
Team Monday: what can I say? You totally and utterly rock.
See you in a fortnight.
