Just another Manic (Easter) Monday!
4 GoodGymers made their way 7.0km to help the WANSTEAD COMMUNITY ALLOTMENTS and WANSTEAD COMMUNITY GARDENERS in Redbridge.

On a windy Easter Monday, four GoodGym runners headed to Wanstead Community Allotments to water and weed and ran 7km in the process.
After a few days off for the long weekend, it was great to be visited by GoodGym fanatic, Paul Becker, from Bristol. Paul has completed more than 200 tasks and has visited numerous GoodGym’s around the country since joining in 2014. GoodGym Royalty, no doubt!
With GG Redbridge regulars Alice, Natalie and Trainer James making Paul welcome it was a quick run up to one of our favourite tasks at Wanstead Community Allotments on Nutter Lane. This has been a long-term project for the group and with carrots, parsnips and other vegetables having just been planted the task was to make sure they were watered.
Armed with watering cans and hoses the task was done in double quick time which left the team with the opportunity to weed the herb bed and tackle some of the weeds sprouting on the path way.
With the task completed and the tools locked away it was time for the group to show Paul the local surroundings. It’s not quite light enough to head to Wanstead Park at the moment so the usual 6km route around Snaresbrook and Wanstead was the order of the day.
With the run and task complete and the team back at Wanstead House Community Association, James led a few easy stretches to prevent soreness and injury.
Another super-sociable task! A big shout out to the team for coming out on a Bank Holiday Monday. If you want to get involved with our next task you can sign up here
