I'm glad it wasn't as hot today! Still sticky though...
We met in the park today to shorten the route to a more manageable distance - much to Joel's chagrin. Setting off a couple of minutes early we chatted about the upcoming breakfast after volunteering at parkrun, possible quiz this Sunday, and the lovely shoe shopping trip Joe and I went on on Monday. Both got some snazzy new orange trainers, a pint, and a lamb wrap. His chicken wings looked better than mine. what am i even typing about now
Anyway - we got to the surgery at Writtle and their dementia garden looks so different in the light and with a little bit of TLC! We had earth to move, soil to destroy, and weeds to eliminate. Fay and Laurie lifting barrows of soil like they were feathers, Sallyann sweeping up my volatile mess, and Caroline providing the refreshments! Much needed and appreciated.
We headed back to the park (thanks again to Fay for the lift home from there!) and found there is a slim chance that Erin's uncle is Fatboy Slim...hope his DJ set goes well!
Happy running everyone, and see you at the big parkrun volunteer with red t-shirts flapping proudly in the breeze!
P.S - Happy Birthday Rich x
