The ivy on the house and fence was thick and needed cutting back. It had remnants of birds nests plus some lost dog toys and a satellite dish.

With a great array of good quality tools (3 different types of loppers!) and two ladders we were well equipped to cut the ivy back as best we could leaving some for next spring's birds to nest in.

Mr D was great company and kept us laughing and helped out with the job. We cut the ivy back as best we could to a level where it meant we had killed off the higher stuff that was growing up the house and onto the roof.

It was a lovely afternoon and great to get out on our bikes and finish off with snacks in Meersbrook Park to look at the views across Sheffield and rest our tired arms.
