It was a bed that was all made up...but had nowhere to go.
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.

Peter and I met up outside Ms T's flat ready for a bit of bed shifting - fortunately Ms T and her mother live on a first floor flat, so we were hopeful it wouldn't be a prolonged workout - especially as Peter was on his lunch break!
Ms T's mother showed us the room, and as we lifted off the mattress, we noticed there were still a few items of clothing in the bed base itself - after a bit of scrabbling around underneath, all was emptied, and we quickly got the mattress down the two flights of steps and out into the parking area at the back.
The heavier bed frame then followed, again with a bit of careful cornering at the various turns, and then finally the headboard - and the job was done. Ms T's mother was extremely grateful for our efforts as the medical bed was then arriving that afternoon - and so we bid her farewell and left her to go and put a tarpaulin over the removed parts ready for collection by the council later this month.
