Woking Junior Parkrun 177
This beautiful sunny Sunday morning, 93 wonderful children excitedly gathered in our lovely park for Woking Junior Parkrun #171.
These young athletes turn up week after week to test themselves running 2 laps of a 1km loop around the park.
There must have been a lot of mid-week training for today's entrants as the super speedy bunch all finished their runs in 16mins 42seconds. The first finisher came in at a blistering time of 7mins 14seconds.
All the children tried really hard, and the effort level was clear to see with some very close racing all the way upto the finish line, and 32 of them achieved new personal bests.
The children were well supported by our caring and dedicated team of 27 volunteers performing a variety of different roles to ensure the event could take place in safety and without issues.
For any parents reading this, please do come forward to volunteer, you're there anyway, all the roles are easy to do and it really helps us to put on a great event for your child.

If you can help at all on any future week, please send an email to woking-juniors@parkrun.com
Next Week We have our litter picking event on Wednesday with The Run Company, Run Crew, and the Couch to 5k Club on Thursday. Do feel most welcome to come along to either
