It’s raining - I hope you don’t have any leeks!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Haringey.
- Saturday, 12th of October 2019
On a wet blustery morning, Anja and I met Ms S where she was surprised to see us with the miserable weather.
Adamant to help in some way as we were there, & gloves and cutters at the ready we trimmed back a couple of the more intrusive plants in Ms S’s front garden. Anja stripped back a passion vine blocking a window and entangled with some roses, whilst I was on the pavement taking care of an overhanging Buddleia, where I got a few odd looks from passers by!
Ms S is a keen gardener but she’s no longer able to do as much as before. She’s quite the gardening whizz so we were noting down all the tips for our own plants!
A lemon and ginger tea and a chat later, we admitted defeat, put down our tools and said our goodbyes. Despite the rain, we were happy that Ms S seemed pleased with our efforts!
