It’s Not Easy Being Green.

So good to be out in the fresh air doing our bit for the SHP Allotments. Glad to see we hadn’t had any more break ins to the shed and the roof is still intact, also not too much more overgrowth had taken place.
Ed started assembling the sides to the last bed while James dug the bed over to ready it for spring planting. Linda got the strimmer out and got on with cutting pathways in the grass between the fruit trees…..a bit of a Forth Bridge job that one 🙄 Peter was given the job of painting the raised planter a lovely shade of grass green, well he was wearing overalls so it made sense that he got the potentially messy job, although all credit to him for only ending up a little green fingered🎨
We all got on with our individual tasks companionably chatting and catching up on our Christmas and other news. The hour was soon up and quite a bit accomplished. Self pats on the back (social distancing aware) to all involved.
James had mentioned that would have liked to have done a group run despite the bank holiday so Linda had arranged to run with him after the task. During the run they came across our GGR member Kathryn hence the mini group run selfie. 🏃♀️
