It came upon the midnight Éclair...

The joy of a pre-ordered shopping list is in the choosing of the store in which to hunt down the goods. Thankfully Ms E's list was short and manageable with no hard to find items, but also presented an opportunity for a bit of variety through her asking for "6 fresh cream cakes (e.g. Éclairs, different types if possible)".

With the shelves full of mince pies and other festive feasts it proved quite difficult to expand beyond Éclairs for the fresh cream cake selection - but with two from Sainsbury's and four from Waitrose (on special offer!!), I can only hope this met the "different types if possible" cake criteria that Ms E was seeking.
