Imperfect Pearing

The task for this visit to City Harvest was sorting out pears from 3 massive wooden crates into trays that could be sent out. Unfortunately there were a lot of pears which were passed their best...
So we had a bucket to fill with good pears, to put them into trays and a crate for the pears that didn't make the cut, including some which were more mush than pear! 🤢
The shift flew by and we had emptied two of the big wooden crates into two pallets full of trays, and half a wooden crate of imperfect pears which would be sent to food waste, but still a lot better than all of them being wasted!
