Thank you all for coming along to Woking Goodgym launch night. We were joined by the Mayor of Woking, Cllr Graham Cundy. Once we got the promotional photos out the way it was time to get to work. With a quick warm up and introductions we found out that Barbara ran the Richmond half marathon in an outstanding time of 1:51. George completed the 100km ultra marathon, Race to the stones earlier this year and the biggest excitement was from Sandy who won an award for her Coffee Cake, we look forward to trying this next week. We then headed out to Woking Park in the dark and the drizzle to collect the tools for out task. We then headed into the darkest deepest woods of Woking to help clear the paths for Woking Park Run. Wheelbarrows at the ready and tools in hand we set about our tasks, after 20 mins of great team work we completed our goal and headed park to the park for a quick fitness session. Once finished we headed back for a short jog in the pouring rain to collect our bags and say our goodbyes. In total we ran 5km. Look forward to seeing even more members next week.

Thank you Nick for getting this group going. I really enjoyed the session and am especially happy for the path we cleared and filled for the Woking Parkrun. Hope to see you all next week and look forward to finding out what we can do next.
