I wasn’t sure which pasta to buy, but then the Penne dropped...
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Saturday, 12th of September 2020
After a perfect Saturday morning strolling around Hampstead Heath, I greeted Ms M with a massive smile behind my mask. After some pleasantries and a huge amount of appreciation given for us goodgym volunteers over the last few months, Ms M handed me a detailed shopping list for her weekly groceries.
After arriving at Sainsbury’s and being reassured by a staff member that wheat-free bread was not a prank, I tracked down all the food in no time at all, and delivered the full bag of groceries to a very grateful Ms M in time for her lunch 😊 This was a really fulfilling task and really meant a lot to Ms M - a great start to the weekend for me.
FYI I did actually end up buying a wheat-free fruit loaf to try myself this morning, it was terrible.
