I’vy a lot more to do

I cycled over to Mrs M’s house where she was waiting for me at the door. I headed around to the back to see what needed to be done and was presented with what turned out to be 30 years of ivy!!

Mrs M struggled to open her back door due to it and her nice terrace to sit in the sun had basically become an ivy room. She isn’t able to get down the steps to the rest of the garden so clearing this area means she can sit outside.

Luckily cutting ivy is a goodgym speciality and involves little skill so I got to work cutting, chopping and pulling. I uncovered lots of slugs, old birds nests (no birds were disturbed!) and the posts holding up the trellis.

After an hour I had filled a few bags, created a pile and got a bit of sunlight to the back door.

Mrs M was happy with the work so far and we had a quick chat and a juice before I cycled home.
