I've got the key, I've got the secret 🔑
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Friends of Furnivall Gardens in Hammersmith and Fulham.

Tonight we had seven H&F GoodGymers assemble at Furnivall Gardens to meet Una from the Friends of Furnivall gardens. This evening our job was to give the new saplings a good drink of water to help them through the hot weather, and also plant some new petunias. After carefully unravelling the hose and guiding it around the locals who were out enjoying the sunshine, we had a bit of a struggle getting the water flowing, even with the required key. Una's expertise got us underway... later on in the task we found that although all could possess the key, not all of us had the secret to get it flowing!!
We skilfully dodged passers-by, picnics and pooches with the hose, and had all the saplings watered at the east side of the gardens in no time at all. Whilst Sarah & Divy moved over to the west side to get the other hose going, the rest of us focused on planting some of the petunias by the river, and in the walled beds.
The hose on the west side of the gardens was a little old and damaged, therefore Divy had the very important job of holding the hose together (at the risk of getting rather damp) - what a hero! We made light work of the watering, and congregated to tidy the hoses away & pose for a quick group pic in the evening sunshine. Thank you also to Biscuits for bringing along chocolate bars for us all! 🍫
Great work tonight team! To see what else is coming up, check out H&F's sessions here. Hopefully see you again soon. 😊
