I moss admit I'm lichen this weather!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Saturday, 29th of June 2019
On this scorcher of a Saturday I met up with Anja (for her second mission of the day!) to do some gardening for Ms G. Fortunately for us Ms G has taken good care of her garden but struggles to get to the hard to reach weeds. Our first task was easy enough - pulling out some big weeds... However the smaller ones growing in the gravel were far more infuriating. After that we got to work getting rid of the weeds, moss and lichen growing in between the paving slabs, all the while the lovely Ms G was keeping us refreshed with glasses of much needed water.
An hour passed and Ms G asked if we had enough time to tackle her front garden - we happily complied. The front garden was thankfully a lot smaller and after some more weed pulling and crack cleaning we were done. Before we departed Ms G had one more treat up her sleeve and kindly rewarded us with an ice cream to enjoy in the lovely weather.
