9 awesome Goodgymmers ran to clear a hedge so someone could have light through their windows
9 runners met at the university and went straight into a game of dishes and domes, which was ultra competitive! 2 quick games with some stretching in between and we were off to visit Brian's house to cut the hedge alongside the road. This gives us a taste of a mission and we discussed the benefit of helping those who are not able to do such tasks and the opportunities that may be available once we are mission verified. On this occasion the hedge is alongside the road so we don't have to disturb the resident and can whiz over, cut the hedge back and set off again. a great task to start and finish in a short space of time.
Everyone got suck in and the hedge was below window height in no time. We paused for some water and cookies before setting off back to the Uni along the riverside path. A stretch and chat before we left and all was done for another session. Several of us are heading to parkrun as usual and Laurie is leading next weeks run to Mencap, should be great, don't forget to sign up now!
