This was our first visit to Seniors since before the pandemic and we were all very excited to be returning! The task may have changed from gardening to window cleaning but that didn’t deter us - great work everyone!!
We had a couple of hills to tackle before we even made it to Seniors. It was a good reminder for everyone to focus on using their arms when running up hills, not letting them swing around in all directions. It’s also a good distraction for how hard your legs are working! The views on the way back more than made up for the hills..
Once we arrived at Seniors and regrouped with those meeting us at the task, it was time to get stuck in. We even managed to make a start on the conservatory windows but with it being pitch black by now, we weren’t entirely sure whether we’d cleaned them well or not. The highlight of the evening was Cathy giving us a brief history of the building and what it used to be used for. Thanks for the sandwiches as well!
Next week we are off to Springbank Road Community Garden - don’t forget head torches as it’s getting dark on group runs now! It would be wonderful to see you there.
