Today 3 tree-mendous goodgymers Rachel, Linda and Tim helped out our good friends Heeley Development Trust at Heeley People's Park. They had a hot and hard workout, with Long-distance Linda recording nearly 6km moving large tree branches in the sunshine. Heeley People's Park had hired in a chipper for the day so the pressure was really on to keep it fed!
Mission: help collect all the cut branches across the community ran park, which is spread out between many different streets/ roads, for designated trained chipper loaders to load into the chipper onsite for the day. This lovely recycled material will be reused in the park, and no doubt distributed by goodgymers on a future Monday night group run.
Mission accomplished: our tireless three ran out of prunings before the chipping team left! We won!
