We were back for our regular visit to Chiswick House and Gardens tonight, with a selections of different jobs to do and some new skills to be learned along the way! Luckily we had some sweet treats courtesy of our new Raleigh to keep energy levels up. Don't forget about that 10% off, cyclists.
It was great to have James along for his first session at Hounslow-welcome!- and we were quickly divided up into teams by lead Chiswick House gardener Chris who set us to work.
After identifying the elusive elephant hidden in the topiary we got to work weeding with a fabulous new tool we decided had been invented by a tall person, and edging- which proved to be a very therapeutic and satisfying way to give the lawn a haircut.
After 45 mins of hard work we downed tools and headed for the carriageway for a fitness session that focused on running form and efficiency. Everybody looked brilliant as they pocket to socketed, kept that balloon string straight and clasped an imaginary crisp in between their fingers!
Next week we're off to Cultivate to lend a hand and don't forget about our special bank holiday mission to help save the hedgehogs - we need you!
Have a wonderful week, GG!
